Regatta

Slovak Sailing Challenge (SSCH) is a Slovak regatta that builds on regattas’ history since 2002. It has been inspired by the Slovak, Czech & Croatian sailing experience and needs of sportive sailing crews & skippers. The regatta is promoting fair competitive sailing, as well as international regattas and the work of sports professionals from Slovakia and Croatia. The regatta invites athletes to fair competition and presenting their skills. The organizer aims to foster long term connection in the sailing community, promoting mutual respect among sailors and brining new experience from competition.

Slovak Sailing Challenge also welcomes young talented sailors, women in crews, experienced skippers and crews interested in competition as well as detailed work with sails.

You can make use of the full boat charter time of the sailboat you register for. Organizing team has invited a team of international race officials and judges to boost the sportive setting of the racing. The event starts with training races and racing is planned until the end of the week, exploiting the boat rental to maximum extent. One of the goals is to provide crews with as much time at sea & under sails as possible. Race committee is preparing various racing scenarios. Within the training races you can learn from more experienced skipper or consult race officials to enhance your sporting performance and experience participating in the regatta in a learning way.

Sailboats

We have selected the Salona 46 sports sailboats from available fleets in Croatia, manufactured by a local Croatian producer based on the requirements of experienced regatta sailors. These boats combine high performance with comfort and offer enough space for a 10-person crew.

The top 100 male and female sailors, not only from Slovakia, will have the opportunity to showcase their tactical, technical, and team skills on these sailboats, while enjoying comfort during the regatta.
